The Humane Society of Northwest Iowa is completely dependent on the contributions from individuals, familes and businesses. The shelter does not receive funding on a county, state or federal level. Nor do we receive support from any national animal welfare organization. If you wish to support PETA, ASPCA, HSUS or the American Humane Society, just know that there is no "trickle down" to help your local shelter. Only you can do that!
Ways we raise the money to keep our doors open include several annual fundraisers, kennel and cage sponsorships, memberships and other contributions from our supporters.
