I want to let everyone at the shelter know that your former therapy cat, Heidi, is doing great at her new home. She has a new name - Pica.
I was worried that Pica wasn't going to adapt because for the first three days after I brought her home she hid behind the couch in the basement. I never even saw her! But then on the 4th day, she came out by herself and let me pet her.
Over the next few days, she explored her surroundings and decided she was safe. And now that a full month has passed, she is totally comfortable in her new home. She is very playful and I enjoy her tremendously. She constantly amazes me with her talent of tossing and flipping her toy mouse in creative ways.
